The Center considers issues related to governance, political institutions, development, conflict, and politics in weakly institutionalized societies.

The Center considers issues related to governance, political institutions, development, conflict, and politics in weakly institutionalized societies. Participating faculty come from multiple departments, including the Haas School of Business, Goldman School of Public Policy, Department of Economics, and the Travers Department of Political Science. BCEP hosts the annual Berkeley Seminar in Political Economy, as well as a yearly conference on political economy and governance.
