Lynsay Skiba is the Associate Director of Programs at Matrix. She also serves as Executive Director of UC Berkeley’s Human Rights Program, and she teaches undergraduate courses on human rights history and practice. Skiba earned her PhD in Latin American history at UC Berkeley. Her dissertation analyzed the development of the rule of law and rights advocacy in twentieth-century Argentina. Prior to graduate school, she earned a JD, also at UC Berkeley, and practiced human rights law at an Oakland-based NGO focused on California women’s prisons.
