Alan Cowen is a postdoctoral student in the Berkeley Affective Cognitive Neuroscience Lab. He currently researches the neurological correlates of subjective experiences, including emotion and social perception. His previous research has focused on decoding face images from brain activity at Yale University and on decoding dream imagery at ATR Computational Neuroscience Labs in Kyoto, Japan. He has also studied psychology, philosophy of mind, and mathematics.
